The preseason moves on to Week 2 and there will be a Redskins home game tomorrow night! Washington hosts the Cincinnati Bengals at FedEx Field.
The Redskins will likely be missing Colt McCoy again this week as he continues his recovery from last year’s broken leg. Case Keenum will get the start again, with Dwayne Haskins taking the #2 spot on the QB depth chart for the 2nd week in a row. The Redskins lost their 4th QB(Josh Woodrum) last week when he suffered a torn pec. Washington signed Jalan McClendon, but he probably won’t be thrown in unless something happens to Keenum and Haskins.
Derrius Guice has also not been fully cleared, and will likely miss this week’s game as he returns from ACL surgery last year. Adrian Peterson sat last week, and the vet isn’t expected to play tomorrow either.
What we will see is the team’s depth, and we’ll get a look at the young players on the roster fighting for a spot. The depth on the offensive line has been…not good. There is a logjam at wide receiver, and a lot of young inexperienced players

Enemy Blog: Cincy Jungle The Washington Redskins will make their preseason home debut Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals at FedExField. Here are five things to watch ahead of the game:
1. How will head coach Jay Gruden split up the quarterback reps?
The Redskins held quarterback Colt McCoy out of practice Tuesday because of leg soreness, and it’s unclear if the longtime Redskin will play during Week 2 of the preseason.
“Like I said before, the most important thing is to get [McCoy] where he’s stable mentally and physically,” head coach Jay Gruden said. “And while he’s figuring that out and getting better, it’s a good chance for those other two guys to get a lot of reps, so they’re taking advantage of those.”
The quarterbacks Gruden is referring to are Case Keenum and Dwayne Haskins, who combined to play the first three quarters of the preseason opener. In three series, Keenum displayed a solid command of the offense and helped account for the team’s only touchdown: a 46-yard completion to a wide open Robert Davis. Haskins played much more, lining up under center for the entire second period and most of the third. An inconsistent showing from the rookie yielded an 8-for-14 passing performance for 117 yards and two interceptions.
That being said, Redskins fans will likely see a new face line up under center against Cincinnati. Josh Woodrum played the fourth quarter last week, but he suffered a torn pectoral muscle and was subsequently placed on Injured Reserve. In a corresponding move the team added former Baylor quarterback Jalan McClendon, who could see snaps towards the end of Thursday’s contest.
